God Wants You Whole Spirit, Soul, Body
Beloved, I have a question for you.
Do you believe that God, the Almighty Creator of all things from the beginning, wants you whole?
Do you believe that His ultimate plan for your life is wholeness?
God cares about the whole person.
Why is it so difficult for us to align our body with our soul, our soul with our spirit, and our spirit with our Father in Heaven?
🕊️ A Holy Thing Lives in You
A holy thing lives within you—the Holy Spirit.
“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”
Meditate on this verse.
If the saints—followers of Jesus Christ—truly believed this, I believe many unhealthy habits would begin to disappear. Overeating, refusing to exercise, neglecting rest, and failing to drink enough water would no longer be treated casually.
Often, we make changes only after receiving a diagnosis from a doctor.
But shouldn’t we be mindful every day that our body is the earthly temple of the Holy Spirit?
I don’t know about you, but I have decided that I want my temple to be pleasing to the Holy Spirit.
At times, this is difficult because, like many of you, I have developed some unholy habits along the way.
đź’Ž Purchased With a Price
Our bodies were purchased with a price.
“For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
Take a moment and reflect:
Are you treating God’s body properly?
Remember, your body and spirit belong to Him.
You are His temple.
🌱 Wholeness in Spirit, Soul, and Body
đź“– 3 John 1:2 (KJV)
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
This verse speaks directly to wholeness in the spirit, soul, and body.
I spent most of my time writing about the body because it plays a major role in overall wholeness. The condition of our physical body often affects the condition of our mind.
When the mind is not renewed in the things of Christ, it creates distance between us and God.
A person can be financially successful, professionally accomplished, and admired by many, yet still struggle emotionally, mentally, or physically.
God wants our souls to prosper.
He wants us to walk in good health.
He desires wholeness in every area of our lives.
