“You Will Meet God When You Die!” What a profound statement to make—but it is something to reflect and assess concerning your faith, spirit, soul, and body.

On November 1st, my hubby and I were on our way to a funeral. Just as I was shifting in my seat, getting relaxed for a road nap, I looked to my right and saw a large billboard with bold letters that read:

“You Will Meet God When You Die!”

I asked my husband, “Did you see that billboard?” For some reason, it resonated deeply in my spirit.

Prior to seeing that billboard, we had to decide which funeral we could attend. Two of his relatives had funeral services on the same weekend. Both had transitioned from cancer. Both were in the hospital at the same time.

So you see—this statement had me thinking.

I believe the Bible is a blueprint for life, but often it is not used when facing real-life situations.

Life After Death Is Real

It is critical that we understand there is life after the first death.

📖 Revelation 21:1 tells us there will be a new heaven and a new earth.

There is also a second death:

There is peace beyond our imagination in the new earth—but this is not automatic. We must by faith trust and believe in God’s Word.

A Question Worth Answering

I once heard a young person say:

“I’m not religious, but if there is a heaven…”

That statement made me pause.

If you died without true answers in your heart—and God asked you the questions above—and those answers determined heaven or hell… would it not make sense to:

  • Study His Word daily

  • Pray daily

  • Pray for others daily

  • Prepare for the Day of the LORD daily

How did you answer the questions?
